Introduction:
Propaganda is any sort of art, media, or literature that promotes a political view points, especially through deception or cheap appeals to emotion, a set of strategies designed to influence or manipulate . The word propaganda was first ever used in 1622 or 1623 for a religious purpose . The present century my be called the Age of propaganda.
The word propaganda is used in a very negative sense but, can be positive about a ethics , religion . The word become infamous because of some association of words, incidents and difficulties. As in world war II , it was used as a tool of psychological warfare that defamed it.
Propaganda Device:
There are seven propaganda devices :

- Name Calling: It is giving an idea, a person , a group or an event a bad name. It arouses an attitude of rejection without examining it . It is most common in politics.
- Glittering Generality: A technique of associating something with a ”virtue world”. This is used to make us accept and approve things without examining. Attractive, impressive or ideas which mislead the people. This device is used most in our lives that we barely notice it.
- Transfer Device: It carries the authority and prestige of something respected is associated with something else to make the later more acceptable under the technique the propagandist advertises a thing with name of some distinguished person to whom people like.
